NCSR Demokritos

NCSR “Demokritos” is a multidisciplinary research centre, which has achieved significant breakthroughs and developments in different scientific field. Founded in 1959, the center operates as a self-governed public Institution under the auspice of the General Secretariat of Research and Technology, GSRT. With a campus of 600.000 m2 and buildings with total surface of 45.000 m2, NCSR “Demokritos” is considered to be the largest Physical Sciences Research Institution of Greece. The Institute of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology (INN) is one of the five current Institutes of "Demokritos". The combination of high quality scientific personnel and advanced technological facilities of INN has contributed to the achievement of excellent scientific work and substantial external funding of 4 MEuro/year.
