Ioannis Arabatzis

Dr. Ioannis Arabatzis is the co-founder, managing director and legal representative of NanoPhos S.A. He has a BSc in Chemistry, a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science and a Μaster in Business Administration. As a chemist, he is interested in metal oxide semiconductor synthesis, development of nanobased functional coatings and immobilization-printing-deposition techniques, especially for industrial application. He is experienced in quality and process management, legislation issues in the field of nanotechnology and its economic impact, indicators and entrepreneurship.

Furthermore, he is national contact point for the nanotechnology workgroup of European Chemical Industry Council. He is a member of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, the Hellenic Association of Chemical Industries and the judge panel for the European Business Plan of the Year Competition. He is evaluator of Research Proposals for the European Union Directorate of Research.
